I’m Mer, full time starving artist and part time visual storyteller trying to scrape out a living in NYC. I have stories I want to share with the world and I use the power of comics and animation to bring them to life!
Why patreon? Freelancing is super stressful, scheduling hell, the projects don’t last long and it usually leaves me with little time and energy for personal projects. In short, a lot of pain for not a lot of gain. Being a solo creator/animator/artist/producer/etc is not easy either, especially when you have to prioritize “work” over “play”. By becoming a patron, you would be supporting my current and future creative endeavors!
What will the money go towards? Your pledges will go towards the production of comics, short films and secret in-development projects. Production costs include things like, hiring a comic page inker, collaborating with musicians, sound designers and other animators on short films as well as covering my living expenses and putting my mind at ease. The more help I get from backers and other artists, the more original content I can create!
What do I get in return? In return, you get a behind-the-scenes look at my creative process! Large projects like films and comics take a long time to complete and as a result, there are long periods of time between blog updates. Patreon will be a place where I can share things I don’t normally share, (like thumbnails, animation WIP’s, storyboards, early developmental sketches, and so on) and where my backers can get involved in my creative process.
Pledges add up, and even if you can only pledge $1 a month you'd be making a huge difference!
